Job Description

SOFTWARE SUPPORT CONSULTANT/HELPDESK LOCATION: BRADFORD SALARY: £13k – 18k, dependent upon skills and experience HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours Monday to Friday

ROLE INFORMATION: You will join the existing Support team, providing assistance to end users of the case management software.

RESPONSIBILITIES: You will provide first-line support to clients, who make contact with the Support team primarily via telephone, but also via email, fax, and the company website. Dealing with a varied level of IT user, from novices through to technical administrators, you will take initial enquiries and lead them through to a successful resolution. Enquiries will be mainly related to the bespoke software, but will also involve Microsoft products and networking.

KEY SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL  Graduate – possibly Computer Science or related discipline  A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel  Some knowledge of networking and hardware issues  Excellent communication and organisational skills  Residing within easy travel distance of the Bradford office

Overall and desirable qualities You will be an excellent communicator at all levels – both with clients and colleagues. An appreciation of the urgency and importance of the clients’ needs is desirable, and some experience in an IT support environment is advantageous but not mandatory. Full training will be given on the specific software.
